The Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) sensor converts ambient air temperature into an electrical signal for the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). This input is used to modify air conditioning system operation and display outside air temperature. Since its a used vehicle it is possible someone changed the mirrors. The door panel would need to be removed to gain access to the wiring for the mirror to see if the wiring is there for the sensor.
